Complicated Balkanian Wedding (2012)
Ballet Pécs
The new production of Ballet Pécs was inspired by the music and lifestyle of the Balkans. The performance is characterized by its humour and Balkan passions. The plot is quite easy to follow: a poor village girl is to be married to a stupid rich boy despite her will. She and her lover are causing some conflicts, nevertheless the wedding is held ending in an immense party. Heartbreaking and hilarious moments follow each other in a series of passionately emotional and extremely comic scenes.
With Lóránd Zachár’s sublimely beautiful movements, his wit and unique vision, the harmony of visuals, music and plot Complicated Balkan Wedding promises a most entertaining dance theatre experience.
